Allocation rules and privacy
For horizons of 12 months or less, or capital preservation, this tool generates no equity allocation. For 13–36 months, equity exposure is capped at 40% of the initial budget. Longer horizons use the selected profile ceiling, reduced by your requested cash reserve. These are conservative illustrative design rules, not optimized allocations or verified suitability advice.
Up to eight candidates are selected, preferring different sectors, with at most two names per sector. Company purchase outlay is capped at 20% and sector purchase outlay at 40% of the initial budget, including assumed purchase costs. Allocation is equal across selected names, then rounded down to whole shares. No reallocation of leftover cash occurs. A sparse equity sleeve can still be concentrated. Exchange lot rules and broker minimums are not verified.
Eligible ordinary equities need an unflagged positive price within seven calendar days, dated inputs within 180 days and supplied session volume of at least 1,000 shares. Income follows the historical yield screen, value follows combined same-sector P/E and P/B scores, and growth requires current reviewed expansion evidence. Balanced alternates income and value candidates without a synthetic return score. Missing evidence remains unknown.
Personal entries stay in page memory and are not sent to the server or saved to browser storage. Background and manual market refreshes retain generated samples with their original prices and assumptions; there is no refresh timeout. Changing inputs, clearing the form, reloading or closing the page removes the sample. Export the CSV to keep a copy on your device. Market data requests still occur. Dividend illustrations use reported dividend per share, not a declaration of future payment or eligibility. Scenarios exclude dividends, cash interest, inflation, tax, FX, future trades and sale costs.

Methodology, exclusions and limitations
Scope: tracked ordinary equities with a known instrument type. ETFs, REITs and unknown types are excluded; current listing, suspension and tradability status are not independently certified.
Default numeric filters require positive price, a price date within 7 calendar days, an input date within 180 days and no price-stale flag. The older-input checkbox relaxes those date/flag filters, not numeric validity. Positive P/E up to 100, positive P/B up to 50 and positive reported yield up to 40% are eligible. Missing, non-finite and nonpositive ratios are never treated as bargains or zero yield.
For the combined screen, only peers with both valid ratios are used. Each lower-is-better percentile is 100 × (peers with a higher ratio + half of other tied peers) ÷ (peer count − 1). Their equal-weight average gives a 0–100 relative value score; at least 3 peers are required. Filters for company/sector only affect display, not the cohort. The volume/date controls do affect eligibility. Equal values share ranks; displayed ranks remain universe ranks after filtering.
Book-value gap is (1 − P/B) × 100% when 0 < P/B < 1. It is a price/book comparison, not a target return, liquidation estimate or fair-value conclusion. Sector groups are broad and may mix business models. Ratio input periods are not independently reconciled; source dates and mixed vendor fallbacks need review.
Dividend yield is historical and may include special distributions. The ordinary/special split, payout coverage, cash flow and future sustainability have not been verified. Calendar declarations are separate from yield inputs; record dates, ex-dividend dates and last-purchase eligibility are not interchangeable.
Growth scoring ranks the stage of selected issuer-evidenced projects, not growth magnitude or investment attractiveness. Reviews expire after 180 days and source evidence after 365 days. No record means “Not assessed,” not no expansion. Annual earnings forecasts, debt/funding sufficiency, share dilution and future execution are not estimated.

News and source-check results are synchronised by the scheduled job from the NSE Market Board service. Newly found PDFs require source review before dates enter the calendar. “Missing” does not mean no dividend. The issuer directory is not a real-time suspension or trading-status check.
Media headlines are not verified issuer announcements. Company matching and topic labels are automated and may be incomplete. Confirm material claims and eligibility requirements with the issuer and your broker.
